The museum situated on the left bank of the river Seine was originally a railway station.  Painting, sculpture, decorative arts, photography, drawings…  the museum presents the most important collections of impressionist and post-impressionist paintings in the world with masterpieces from Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cézanne, Seurat, Sisley, Gauguin and Van Gogh.

The building itself is beautiful!  I loved visiting it so much that I almost passed out – I forgot to eat and drink as I was so absorbed in the artwork!  I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in Paris or why not check out the French version of their website to practise your French https://www.musee-orsay.fr/fr/accueil.html
